I love my life and I like it even more when its 70 degrees outside. The weather here changes so quickly, it went from chilly to perfect this week. I have been swimming twice already and plan to go two more times this week. So today my schedule is different than normal so I went swimming late morning and in the mornings they have the long lanes instead of the short ones so there are fewer. Well I'm going about my workout and stop to defog my goggles and this guy in his 60's asked me if he could share a lane and I said "Sure, no worries, I will stay on the right side." Then he said "Thanks! I swim with a kayak paddle but I won't get in your way." If you have ever wondered why someone would buy a kayak paddle when they don't even own a kayak, I now know what one might do with it. Good thing a lane opened up and he didn't have to share. He had quite the outfit on today: flippers, snorkel mask, snorkel and the paddle and would dig the blade vertically down into the water. Then when I thought my day couldn't get any better I had lunch in the back of my truck at a park with one of my favorite people in the 70 degree weather in shorts, flip flops and sunglasses. Life is good.

I still can't picture it. So, he was essentially swimming laps in flippers with an oar? Did he just use one arm to swim? Was this freestyle, or sidestroke?
Wow. Are you sure you aren't making that guy up? That is so funny. By the way, one of the small and simple things I love is when people update their blogs often! It's fun to know what's going on in your life.
