The day static won
So moving to Vegas from Ventura took some adjusting. New weather, new roads, new friends, new schedule, new scenery, etc. Everything is growing on me except for one thing: the static. I was just tazed by the drinking fountain. It was the biggest electric shock so far and it totally caught me off guard. I have been at war with electric static since day one. For example there are some instances where you know a shock is coming, so you pull your sweatshirt over your hand and then open the door and the clothing muffles the inevitable shock. Well today static won. Wow, I sure hope no one saw what just happened. I went to get a drink, totally expecting the normal pop rock like feel of the water shocking my tongue, but my guard was down and my hand didn't make all plastic contact and I touched the metal. BAM! I jumped back and yelled "Don't taze me water fountain!"

I had never been shocked by the drinking fountain until the other day. I must say, I found it quite upsetting and would hate for it to happen on a daily basis. My friend Patrick has a similar problem, read about it here.
